Minnie Nell Chron Orm (1933 – 2025)

WEATHERFORD – Minnie (Nell) Chron Orm, 92, passed away on February 19, 2025. She was a beloved wife and mother.

Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; with a visitation one hour prior to service.

Minnie was born on February 3, 1933, in Ralls, Texas to parents, Virgil and Nellie Chron. She attended and graduated from Texas Tech University. She worked in her husband’s Optometry office.

She was a private pilot, seamstress, member of Grace First Presbyterian Church in Weatherford, and volunteer director for the WHS Blue Belles for 20 years and cheer for 10 years. Minnie was also in a Garden Study Club for four decades and Bridge Club for six decades. She loved to shop, sew, cook, read, collecting Santa Clauses, watch the Western channel, and travel. Minnie traveled to 89 countries at least once; including Antarctica. Her favorite color was Turquoise.

Minnie was preceded by husband of 64 years, George Orm Jr.; five brothers; and extended family.

She is survived by daughter, Nika Orm Carter and husband, Mike; son, George Orm III and wife, Debra; grandchildren, Jarrett Orm Carter and wife, Tara, Shelby Sargent and husband, Kyle, Demira Gatica and husband, Albert, Osha Porter and husband, Cliff, Kyra Saucedo and husband, Israel, and Ankara Journey and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Charlotte (Charlie) Carter, Hailey, Daniel and Ryder Gatica, Cora and Hannah Porter, Elin Saucedo, and Lincoln and Everett Journey.
