RALLS – Services for Margie Wells, 78, of Ralls will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Haddock, Rev. Ken Bevel and Rev. Larry Carson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Wells passed away Thursday morning, July 29, 2004, at her Ralls home. She was born May 3, 1926, in Plumerville, Ark., to John Henry and Sarah Nancy Taylor Moore. She was a graduate of North Little Rock (Ark.) High School. She married Dewey Edward Wells on April 23, 1946, in Little Rock and moved to Ralls that same year. She was an active member of the Ralls First Baptist Church where she taught the Junior Department Sunday School Class for many years. She was an election Judge for Crosby County Precinct 4 for many years. She and Dewey were honored as “Mr. & Mrs. Cotton Boll” in 2000 by the Ralls Chamber of Commerce. She was a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her parents and by a son, Dwayne Wells who passed away July 10, 1990. She is survived by her husband, Dewey Wells of Ralls; a son, Wayne Wells of Plano; a daughter, Sharon Bostick of Brownwood; two sisters, Mary Hay of Maumelle, Ark., and Dottie Speights of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Mike Bostick of Lubbock, Don Bostick and wife Stephanie of Brownwood, Lisa Meacham and husband Justin of Tulsa, Okla., and Alex Wells of Dallas; and two great- grandchildren, Dylan and Dustin Bostick of Brownwood.
